Wreck This Journal

Look what came in the mail! I have been ADDICTED to journals all my life. I was surfing around Amazon.com just for the heck of it and came across this awesome set of "books" by Keri Smith, including "Wreck This Journal", "This Is Not A Book" and "Mess". They all require endless creativity, mess-making and lack of perfection. Since I have been a perfectionist all my life, I decided that these books would be perfect for me.

I absolutely LOVE them! Wreck This Journal is my favorite. To see some examples of how people's journals have turned out, check out the flickr group:

They've got a great collection of pictures! I highly recommend these books to anyone, who has ever felt the need to be perfect or tidy in any way. These books will not only allow, but encourage you to break all the rules. ;) Have fun and wreck away! (And if you decided to get either of the books or the set, let me know how you liked them!)

About Me

My name is Leah and I am 20 years old. I was born in the United States, lived and went to school there until the age of nine, when my family moved to the Munich area of Germany. I’ve never felt completely American or completely German. I’ve always had trouble fitting in in both cultures and never quite know what country to call home. I also don’t really have a language of preference…English is definitely easier on my brain, but German is fun and, even after twelve years, challenging to speak, because of the constant fear of using incorrect grammar. :3

So why am I blogging here? Well, have enjoyed writing all my life. If you know me personally, you know that I spend a lot of time writing in journals and typing nonsense on the computer. So I decided it would be a cool New Year’s resolution to start this blog and get my (sometimes crazy and cluttered) thoughts out in the open.
